Rely on Farma Srl for the service maintenance of your lift

OUR VALUES
A lift is a machine that has a long life span and often represents a lasting investment for a building.
To keep it working safely and efficiently maintenance needs to be entrusted to an organisation with an ISO 9001 certified quality system, which uses the most advanced diagnostic and checking systems.
FARMA has been on the lift market for over 40 years and in this time its staff has increased on the same scale as the number of lift systems it has carried out maintenance work on.
FARMA is therefore able to offer its customers a punctual and reliable maintenance service which respects the environment and the building where the lift is fitted.

THE CHOICE OF MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Who you choose to entrust the maintenance of your lift to is very important for your own peace of mind.
Indeed, you are putting your own safety and the safety of your loved ones in the hands of the maintenance technician.
Presidential decree 162/99 states that, among other things, the maintenance technician is responsible for checking the safety systems of the lift and has the specific duty to stop the lift system in the event that a situation arises which is potentially dangerous for the users.
This is why you need to turn to a serious and competent organisation with qualified technicians who constantly receive retraining.
It is your right to find out about the company to whom you are entrusting the maintenance and repair work of your lift. Before signing any contracts, ask for this information:
1. How long has the company been on the market?
2. Is the company a member of a professional association?
3. Does the company have currently valid ISO 9001 quality certifications and SOA certifications?
4. Are maintenance technicians all licensed? Are they all fully employed by the company?
5. How many systems does the company perform maintenance work on? How many technicians are involved in this business?
6. Is there a 24 hour emergency call centre?

FARMA MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS: QUALITY AND TRANSPARENCY SERVING OUR CUSTOMERS.
FARMA preventive maintenance programmes are designed in relation to the type of lift, its location, its use, the weather conditions it operates in and any other factor that could influence its safety and operation.
FARMA Lifts offers its customers a choice of three different preventive maintenance programmes, which are designed to meet their requirements and the different features of their lifts.
The programmes are called:
- “Basic maintenance”:
the programme involves carrying out around 500 check-ups of the lift system over the course of a year (the maintenance chart providing analytical indication of operations is available upon customer request), during which FARMA Lift technicians check that all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical devices in the lift system are working smoothly, paying particular attention to devices which have a higher priority (e.g. locks on shaft doors).
They will examine the state of the cables and ropes, clean and lubricate the necessary parts to ensure the system works correctly and is safe ; they will check that safety devices such as the parachute and speed control are undamaged and working properly, check the motor brake and check for any oil leaks and check the insulation of the electric wiring and the efficiency of the system connections with the earth.
- “Assisted maintenance”:
as well as all inspection work described in the “basic maintenance” programme, the maintenance fee for this programme includes all registration/repair work should the lift break down and provided that parts do not need replacing, as well as the assistance costs of our technician for the 2-yearly checks by the company the owner encharges.
- “Complete maintenance”:
besides all the work included in the “assisted maintenance” programme, the programme includes replacements of parts in its fee, of any type.
CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE
Despite our best efforts to keep your lift in perfect working order, failures cannot be ruled out. In this situation you need to be able to count on an efficient organisation which will get your lift working again as soon as possible and is able to avoid repeat break-downs.
FARMA has highly specialised technicians in this field too, who use advanced diagnostic instruments to detect the problem and get the lift working again straight away, avoiding a repetition of such inconvenience as much as possible.
All FARMA technicians who carry out corrective maintenance have the latest hand-held computers, which ensure they stay constantly linked up with our break-down centre.
This results in targeted corrective maintenance , starting with analysis of work carried out on the lift, and thus greatly cuts down the chance of the break-down occurring again.
Do you want to keep the performance of your lift under control?
How reliable your lift is depends on the performance of hundreds of parts.
Which is why a technician cannot always detect the source of a break-down easily or immediately. To remedy this problem and cut down how long the lift is out of order for you can now install the GLCX operating card in your system.
Remote monitoring of lift operation via the GLCX card
Installing the GLCX card in the control panel means how your lift is functioning is being permanently monitored. Reduction in how long the lift remains out-of-order
The information collected by the GLCX card can be consulted in real time by our technical assistance centre, which can then detect and localise any abnormality in the lift.
This information is first analysed by the FARMA technical assistance centre and then sent off to the technician, meaning the technician already knows the causes of the malfunction when he arrives on the scene. This results in technical intervention which is targeted, efficient and economic for our customer.
Customised preventive maintenance programme
The GLCX card enables you to set a programme to replace parts before they get worn out. Why wait until a part reaches its physical working limit (and consequently cause the lift to break down altogether ) when you can set a programme to replace lift parts which takes their actual wear and tear into consideration? The GLCX card constantly analyses the degree of wear of the main components in your lift and recommends preventive replacement of those which are almost at the end of their life span. All maintenance contracts include insurance cover in favour of the owner of the building up to € 10,000,000 and as well as the management costs of relations with the company encharged by the owner for the 2-yearly check-up of the system.
24 HOUR SERVICE
Customer peace of mind is paramount for us. Which is why the FARMA emergency call centre operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, always ready to receive your emergency calls in the event that anybody should get stuck in your lift. Your call will immediately be forwarded from the call centre operator to the nearest available technician, who will see to getting passengers out and fixing the system.

The FARMA emergency call centre is made up of operators who are suitably trained to handle emergency situations and forward calls to the nearest available technician.
